What is This Course About?

• Hazardous materials and waste are part of many work situations, and can be found on many types of job sites. It is so important that employees know how to recognize these potentially dangerous substances, as well as how to handle and dispose of them properly.

• The course is designed to explain the regulations and to help employees begin to reduce or eliminate potential exposure to Hazardous Materials in their work environments, as well as how to conduct a hazard assessment of their workplace.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will have an overall understanding of the principles of  handling of hazard materials. You will get a clear understanding of:

• UN classification of dangerous goods
• Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
• Identification of dangerous goods
• Segregation of dangerous goods
• Packaging & Labeling
• Handling and storage of dangerous goods
• Managing hazardous waste
• Transporting dangerous goods by road or rail
• Transporting dangerous goods by sea – IMDG code
• Transporting dangerous goods by air
• Risk Management

The "Handling of Hazard Materials" training course will be performed by the Logistics Expert, Mr. Adel Abou Heneidy:

• Worked in the field of freight forwarding & logistics for more than 15 years.
• Lecturer of the subjects related to logistics & supply chain management in AUC, as well as  Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport
